Sunday School Classes
Young Adult Class - Young adults, young couples, and parents of younger children make up this group. They are a busy bunch, but take time to come together. The class is taught by Gaye Hay, an excellent teacher who leads the group in relevant discussion and the study of God’s Word.
Empty Nesters - Adults in the mid-life range without children, and parents of adult children. Phil Hay is gifted in leading thoughtful discussions of Bible passages that relate to those in this season of life. His quiet, emotional appeal for faithfulness to God’s Word comes from a pure heart for God and for those in the class.
Prime-Timers - For our more experienced adults, the class is made up of senior couples, singles, and widows, and is taught by Sid Kleinpeter. Sid is gifted with teaching God’s Word, and does an excellent job of letting the members of the group teach – as they share their insights, burdens, and lessons learned. This is a unique group of mature adults, and a very special part of Clearfork.
Other Opportunities
Hawley Church Softball Tournament - Usually in June or July and hosted at the HISD fields. Bring your sunscreen and your Ben-gay!
5K Run - The 5K Run is usually held in May. Breakfast is provided and the race starts soon after. Every year we have a great time and many great prizes are rewarded.
Choir -led by Jamie Burkhart, our Associate Pastor. Jamie has a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music, and a Master of Music in Church Music. Jamie challenges and leads the choir in familiar, as well as unfamiliar worship music – and he does so with courtesy, grace, and professionalism. His desire is to honor our Lord through worship and through his work with the choir.
Adult Disciple Now - Usually in August, our Young Adult Sunday School class organizes a weekend of focused study and application of God’s Word. The adults meet, fellowship, play, study, and share. They learn some discipleship principles appropriate for them, and make new “connections” to other adults. This event will change your life!
