Expanding the Reach
(The Work Before Us)
With growth in attendance, we are experiencing a need for additional meeting space. The worship auditorium will facilitate growth, but as we expand the worship area our need for small group education space increases. To facilitate this need, we have begun receiving offerings to build a facility that will house education and fellowship activities. This offering is called “Expanding the Reach,” and the new facility is under construction on the South side of the church grounds. We are building as our Lord provides the funds.
All offerings are received and counted by a special Counting Committee tasked with handling them with integrity, accuracy, and respect. Funds are dispersed only upon approval of appropriate committees, the Church Treasurer, and the Finance Committee. Sound check-writing procedures are followed, and accountability is ensured for integrity in the use of offerings for our Lord’s work. Accurate records are kept and reported to the church at the monthly business meeting.
Although the “Expanding the Reach” effort is for a building, its purpose goes well beyond a new facility. Additional space will allow room for more reaching, teaching, and ministering; these are the focus of Clearfork Baptist Church, and Expanding the Reach is a means toward this end.
